HOUSING
1. I would like to know where you live. Can you describe your home to me? What does it look like? How many rooms does it have?
I have lived in an apartment with my family for a few years.
There are 3 bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen.
Besides, there are 2 bathrooms and a small balcony.
In the living room, there are some furniture and some home appliances.
First, there is a sofa, a tea table, a cabinet and a mirror.
Also, there is a TV and an air-conditioner.
In the kitchen, there is a sink, a dining table and some cabinets.
Plus, there is a fridge, a microwave and an induction stove.
So, this is what my place looks like.
2. What is your normal routine at home? What do you usually do on weekdays and what do you do on weekends?
There are many things I often do at home on weekday and weekends.
I try to clean my apartment on weekends or whenever I can.
I am usually busy on weekdays so I can only vacuum my room and do the dishes.
However, I deep clean my house on weekends.
First, I vacuum the floors and clean the furniture.
Plus, I clean the bathrooms and toilets.
Next, I take out the trash and take a shower.
Finally, I do the laundry after having a meal.
So, these are things I normally do on weekdays and weekends.
3. Describe the home you lived in as a child. How was it different from the home you live in now?
I remember living in a house when I was a kid.
It had 2 bedrooms, a small living room.
I liked the backyard. I used to play there all the time with my young brother.
But now, I live in a big apartment.
There are 3 bedrooms and a big living room.
It is equipped with modern home appliances, such as an air purifier and a vacuum cleaner.
However, it doesn't have a yard, so I have to go to the park to get some exercise.
So, these are things about my childhood house and the house I am living in now.
4. I would like to know where you live. Talk about the different rooms in your home. Tell me about your favorite room. What does it look like?

There are many things I often do to keep my house clean and tidy.

6. We sometimes want to change something in our home, maybe get new furniture or do some painting or decorating. Tell me about one change that you made to your home. Tell me why you decided to make that change and everything you had to do to make that change happen.
I remember buying a new piece of furniture for my bedroom.
It was a new bed because the old one was too small for me.
You know, as I got older, I grew in height.
By the way, I went to a furniture store to buy a new bed.
After looking at many beds, I decided to choose a big brown bed.
I had to move the old bed to make room for the new one.
The staff helped me install the bed.
The new bed looked very nice in my room.
So, this was the change I made in my home.
7. There are always problems that happen in any home. Things break, projects do not go as planned, or people you live with do not cooperate. Tell me about some problems or issues you had in your home.
I remember when the air conditioner broke down at home.
It was during the summer and it was very hot without the air conditioning.
I called a technician to fix the air conditioner.
Also, I remember arguing with my young brother because he was always jumping on my bed.
He finally promised not to do that again.
Plus, I remember breaking a glass.
I had to clean up the mess.
I picked up the big pieces by hands and vacuumed the small pieces.
So, these are the problems I remember having at home.
8. Pick one of those problems and explain everything that happened. When did it occur and what caused the problem? Explain in detail everything you did to resolve the situation.
As I mentioned, I remember breaking a glass at home.
I dropped the glass by accident while doing the dishes.
The glass broke into several pieces.
I had to clean up the mess.
I picked up the big pieces by hand and vacuumed the small pieces.
I made sure that there were no pieces of glass left on the floor because someone could step on them and bleed.
Since then, I try to be more careful when I do the dishes.
9. You and your family probably have different responsibilities at home. Tell me about which chores each family member is responsible for.
Each member in my family has different responsibilities.
There are 4 people in my family: my wife, my two children, and me.
My wife cooks all the meals in my family and does the housework.
I am responsible for washing dishes.
I also am the breadwinner of my family.
Our kids are small but they sometimes help with the housework when they have free time.
We take care of our kids together.
So, these are the responsibilities of every member in my family.
FURNITURE
1. Tell me about the furniture you have in your home. Is there a piece of furniture that is your favorite?
There are many types of furniture in my apartment.
In the living room, there is a sofa, a tea table, and a cabinet.
In my bedroom, I have a bed, a desk, and a wardrobe.
I think my favorite piece of furniture is my bed because I love to sleep.
It is a very comfy and cozy bed.
I feel relaxed and comfortable when I lie down on my bed.
So, these are the furniture I have at home.
2. Tell me about how you use your furniture on a typical day. What kinds of things do you do with your furniture?
There are many things I often do with my furniture.
I use the sofa in the living room all the time.
I sit on it when I am watching TV or playing games.
I sometimes lie down on it to take a nap.
I use my bed in my room every single day.
I lie down on my bed to relax and recharge my battery.
My bed is very comfy, so it helps me sleep well.
So, these are things I do with my furniture.
3. Tell me about the furniture you had at home when you were a child. Was there anything different from the furniture that you use today?
When I was a kid, the furniture I had was a lot smaller.
For example, my bed was a single bed for children.
The one I use now is a queen-sized bed for adults.
Next, my furniture used to be light blue.
My desk was light blue when I was a kid.
The one I use now is dark brown.
So, the size and color of the furniture are the biggest differences.
4. Tell me about a time when you had a problem with your furniture. Perhaps it could have gotten damaged for some reason. Tell me what exactly happened and how you solved the problem
I remember when a desk in my room was broken.
I'd had this desk since I was 10.
So, it was too old and its legs were getting weak.
One day, I put my bag on the desk and one of the legs broke off.
All of my books fell on the floor.
It was impossible to fix it.
So, I decided to buy a new one.
So, this was a problem I had with my furniture.
