DOMESTIC TRIPS

1. You indicated in the survey that you take vacations domestically. Tell me about some of the places you like to travel to and why you like going there.
Vietnam is a tropical country which has many famous places for traveling.
However, I like to visit to Nha Trang and Ha Long. They are so beautiful.
There are long beaches with white sand.
People can do many things there.
They often play volleyball and build sandcastles on the beach.
Plus, they can swim in the sea and enjoy the seafood.
The weather is always sunny and warm.
I have to say that it's a great place to relax and recharge energy. I really enjoy myself there.
I think these are great places to visit in my country.

2. Can you tell me about the things you do in order to prepare for trips?
There are many things I need to plan before a trip.
I have a travel packing checklist to make sure I don't forget anything.
First, I pack my suitable clothes for the weather.
If I go to the beach, I make sure to pack my swimsuit and my sunglasses.
If climbing, I need to prepare shoes and personal protective equipment such as climbing sticks, gloves…
Second, I bring some snacks.
Third, I bring some medicine just in case.
Finally, I bring my wallet and phone.
I put all of them in a small suitcase. That's all, then I'm ready for my trip.

3. Traveling can lead to many kinds of interesting, funny and unexpected experiences. Tell me about one travel experience you had that was unforgettable. Start by telling me when this happened, where you were, and who you were with. And then, tell me about all the things that happened that made this experience so memorable.
I remember going to Ha Long Bay which is the famous coastal city in my country.
It took us one hour to drive there.
While I was walking on the beach, I saw a concert by my idol.
I couldn't believe my eyes.
The concert was amazing.
People sang along to most of the songs.
They cheered when the singer came on stage.
I really enjoyed myself there.
All in all, it was such a great time that I always remembered.

4. Tell me about some of the trips that you took in your youth. Where did you go? Who did you go with? And what did you do or see during those early trips?
I remember going to the beach for a vacation with my family when was a kid.
We went to the beach on the east coast of Vietnam. We stayed at a beachside hotel.
During the day, we swam in the ocean and played with the sand on the beach.
We also took lots of pictures and posted them up online.
In the evening, we went out for some seafood.
We ate some raw fish and shellfish.
The food tasted extra good because we ate right in front of the beach at night.
We took a walk along the beach.
Overall, I really enjoyed every minute of that vacation at the beach.

OVERSEAS TRIPS

1. You indicated in the survey that you take vacations internationally. Could you describe for me one of the countries you have visited? What did it look like and what were the people like there?
I have been to many countries around the world.
Among all, Korea is the country I love the most.
I often go there on my summer vacation.
Korean people are friendly and welcoming.
Also, there are many tourist attractions in Korea.
People can do many things there.
They often play volleyball and build sandcastles on the beach. Plus, they can swim in the sea and climb mountains.
I have to say that it's a great place to relax and recharge energy.
So, this is what my favorite vacation spot looks like.

2. Tell me about your first trip to another country or city. When did you go? Where did you visit? What did you do there? Who did you go with? Tell me everything about that trip with lots of details.
I remember the first time going to Korea when I was a first-year student at university.
I went there with some of my friends on our summer vacation.
Korean people were friendly and welcoming to us.
Plus, the weather was amazing.
During our trip, we visited many famous tourist attractions there.
We also went shopping at night markets to buy gifts for our families.
I really enjoyed myself during the trip.
All in all, it was a great trip.

3. Sometimes, something out of the ordinary happens while traveling. I wonder if you have ever experienced anything surprising, unexpected or unusual during a trip. Tell me about that experience. Start by telling when and where you were traveling, and then give me all the details of that experience.
I remember losing my wallet when I traveled to Korea with my family recently.
When I arrived at the airport, my wallet was still in my bag.
Then, we took a taxi to the hotel.
I found out I lost my wallet when we checked in at the hotel.
I was very nervous and confused.
It took me a few hours to look for it, but I couldn't find it.
In the end, my wife had to pay for the whole trip.
Since then, I have tried to be more careful when traveling.

4. Tell me about a popular place tourists like to go to when traveling outside your country. Why do they like visiting those locations?
Well, Vietnamese people often choose China as a place for traveling because of a few reasons.
First, it's near our country, which is convenient for traveling.
Second, China has many tourist attractions, which are famous in the world.
People can do many things there.
They often visit night markets to get to know Chinese culture.
I have to say that it's a great place to unwind and recharge energy.
Also, Chinese food is wonderful. People can try a lot of different food at affordable prices.
Lastly, Chinese people are always welcoming and friendly.
All in all, it is a great place for traveling outside of Vietnam.

5. Think about another country that you visited when you were young. Describe what that country was like with lots of details. What were your impressions of the place?
