1. Tell me about the banks in your country. What do they typically look like? Where are they usually located?
There are many banks in Vietnam.
They are everywhere from the countryside to the city, but mostly in big cities.
Most of the banks are big buildings located on crowded streets with a lot of foot traffic.
They are often painted with bright colors such as red or yellow on the outside and warm colors on the inside.
People often go to banks to open or close an account, or to transfer money.
Outside the banks, there are ATMs where people can withdraw money automatically.
So, that's all about banks in my country.
2. Tell me about what goes on when you visit the bank. What do you do from the moment you walk in until you walk out?
There are many things I often do when I visit the bank.
First, I come in, take a number and wait for my turn.
Then, I meet the teller to do my business.
Sometimes, I open and close a bank account. Sometimes, I withdraw money.
Nowadays, most of my transactions are pretty quick thanks to the Internet.
After that, I make sure that I sign the necessary documents.
Then, I often thank the teller and leave the bank.
Most of the time, I'm satisfied with the service there.
So these are things I do when I come to banks.
3. Banks have definitely changed over time. Tell me about a bank you remember from your childhood. What did the bank look like? How was it different from banks today?
Banks in Vietnam have changed a lot over the years.
In the past, I used to go to the bank near my place in person to do banking.
The bank wasn't as modern as banks nowadays.
There was a small waiting room and a few teller counters.
I couldn't even make an appointment in advance, so it took me a long time to wait for my turn.
But now, banking has become a lot easier than in the past.
Thanks to the Internet, I can do almost everything online.
I could also make appointments to avoid waiting. It saves my time and energy.
So, mobile banking is one of the biggest changes.
4. Sometimes, problems can occur when you are at the bank. Tell me about a problem you had that involved your bank. Maybe the bank was closed or perhaps the bank might have made some kind of mistake. Tell me how you dealt with that problem.
I remember going to the bank to pay a bill.
I forgot to make an appointment in advance, but I decided to head to the bank anyway.
When I came there, there were so many people at the bank.
I first got a number and took a seat to wait for my turn.
However, there were ten people waiting in front of me.
It was such a long line.
I had been waiting for so long, so I decided to leave the bank because I had something else to do.
Since then, I try to avoid busy hours at the bank.
